This beautiful little cove beach is located in Road View, St. Peter just a few steps north of the Mullins Beach Bar/Restaurant. It is sometimes referred to as Turtle Beach since the Great House beach villa was built on it in the 1980s. Like most west coast beaches it has experienced severe erosion but this has also been exacerbated recently by a problematic beach engineering project just around the corner to the north. Until recently three of the most frequently photographed coconut trees in Barbados adorned this beach, but even though they are gone some of the villa rental agencies still use the image to market the properties they represent. Besides the Great House, three other vacation rentals are located in the cove – Jentillia, Jonkanoo and Cassandra Apts.

  1. The water is as clear as tap water .. how lovely. You're right, the erosion on this beautiful island is a problem. Given that tourism is the #1 industry, I'm curious that the gov't of Barbados isn't doing more to address it. Or maybe it is and I just don't know what that is. The new beach over by Aqua restaurant on the south coast by the new boardwalk is first-rate, showing it's possible to bring a beach back.
