I feel so sorry for Roy Lee pictured in the post before this one. He is literally living in mortal fear that the shack he lives in can be swept out to sea at any minute. And to think his plight may be a consequence of the greed of others in high places is unconscionable. The Great House spent half million dollars last year on repairs to their seawall but even they are fed up and are selling out and moving on. Most people in Road View and Mullins have heard to soto voce rumours of there being more in the mortar than the pestle by way of the approval process for the groynes, but everybody kept quiet for fear of getting a tax bill they could not afford or worse. I thank KNRX for keeping this blog and pressing the issue of the groynes. These revelations today indicate there may yet be light at the end of the tunnel.
